The enemy has hidden 6 secret outposts on an 8x8 battlefield. You have hidden 6 of your own. Send your bombers over enemy territory, drop your bombs and wipe out every enemy outpost before the enemy bombers wipe out yours!

HIDDEN OUTPOSTS 2 is a complete remake of the classic READY 64 BASIC game HIDDEN OUTPOSTS!, now rebuilt from scratch in 100% 6502 machine code. It is faster, smarter and much more spectacular.

Features

• Radar craters: every miss leaves a crater with a radar number that tells you how many outposts are hidden in the 8 squares around it. Use your brain, not just luck!
• Direct hit = bomb again! Chain your hits and turn the battle in one turn.
• Mega bombs: blast a whole + shape with your 2 mega bombs. The enemy has 2 as well…
• 3 levels (EASY, NORMAL, HARD): on HARD the computer reads the radar numbers just as well as you do.
• Live bombing runs: bombers fly over the battlefield, bombs whistle down, and multicolour chain explosions follow.
• Screen shake and full-screen flashes on every direct hit.
• Burning outposts with flickering fires.
• Raster colour bars and sunset sky gradients.
• 3 SID tunes plus explosion, engine and radar sound effects.
• Hi-score, win bonus for surviving outposts and unused mega bombs.
• Controls: joystick in port 2 or the keyboard.
